November 1st, 2011 by

Sotheby’s is pleased to present an auction of 19th Century Furniture and Decorative Works of Art on November 16th, including sculpture, ceramics, silver and carpets.  The sale features several distinguished collections, including a group of sculptures from the Estate of Everett M. Young by artists such as Antoine-Louis Barye, Alfredo Pina and Jean-Jacques Feuchère.  Other highlighted lots in the sale are several works by François Linke, most notably a coiffeuse (lot 279) executed in 1908 for Captain Joseph Raphael De Lamar (one of only two examples ever produced.)  A pendule de parquet (lot 131) after the 18th century model by André-Charles Boulle and a micromosaic table top on a revolving stand attributed to Antonio Aguatti (lot 49) are also two of the sale’s most exciting highlights.
